Our story

What do you do with a career's worth of relationships?

More than a decade ago, former NFL center Brad Leggett kept running into the same thing: he'd make the introduction, the deal would close, and he wasn't part of it. Not because anyone cheated him - because nothing was ever in writing. Pro Players Business was built in 2015 to fix that.

Our mission

Keep the connector in the deal.

PPB launched in 2015 for former NFL players - men sitting on relationships built in college, in their hometowns, in the locker room, and across twenty-five years of life after football. Those relationships were worth something. They just had no structure behind them.

Today the network includes athletes from every sport and high-level connectors outside of sports. What hasn't changed is the requirement: real relationships with business owners and decision-makers, people who take your call.

Every opportunity at PPB runs on a written agreement. Compensation terms are set before the first introduction is made, and the contact is registered to the rep before anyone picks up the phone. Nothing depends on a handshake or on somebody remembering who brought it in.

A message from Founder Brad Leggett

Most of us only ever did one thing. For me it was Pop Warner to high school to USC to the NFL. Then it ends - for all of us - and you have to figure out who you are next.

I struggled with it. You ask yourself: what am I going to do now? Where do I get that juice to get up in the morning that I used to get from football?

The idea for Pro Players' Business came while I was helping a law firm connect with former NFL players for concussion litigation. I kept making introduction after introduction, and it hit me - there ought to be a place where guys can put each other's relationships to work and actually get paid for the connections they make.

That's all this is. It just took a contract to make it real.

GET STARTED

Meet the Team

Pro Players Business started with former NFL players, opened to athletes from every sport, and now includes high-level connectors outside of sports. What they have in common isn't a resume. It's a phone full of people who pick up.

That access is the whole business. A partner company can buy a list, run ads, and hire a sales team - what they can't buy is a business owner taking the call because of whose name is on the screen.

Our job is to make sure the person who owns that relationship gets paid for it. Terms in writing, contact registered to the rep, compensation set before the first introduction. You spent twenty-five years building those relationships. You should be the one who benefits from them.

Brad Leggett

Founder

Brad Leggett played center at USC, where he went to three Rose Bowls and earned First Team All-PAC-10 honors, then played professionally with the New Orleans Saints and Detroit Lions. In New Orleans, he and his father Earl became the first father-son duo in Saints franchise history.

Earl Leggett was a first-round pick of the Chicago Bears out of LSU in 1957 and played eleven NFL seasons - part of the "Monsters of the Midway" defense that won the 1963 NFL Championship, later with the Rams' "Fearsome Foursome," and finally with the Saints. He then coached in the NFL for 25 years, including two Super Bowl titles with the Raiders as defensive line coach.

Brad founded Pro Players Business in 2015 after years of making introductions and watching deals close without him. He built the structure he wished had existed: an agreement signed before the first call, and a documented record of who brought the relationship in.
